I'M BACK! ;D
I'm back people! Yep, back from the UK! :D :D :D
UK trip was the bomb man. It's cool, fun, enriching, all other positive adjectives you could describe! Haha.
We spent the first 5 days in Flatford, where we did a lot of field studies. I love the field studies, especially the River Studies and Coastal Studies! :D Very fun! You'll never get to do those kind of field studies in Singapore. It's really a whole new experience which is not only good for your curriculum studies but also for general knowledge. :)
The stay at Flatford was so cosy and relaxing kay. The environment there is so calming and tranquil. :) Then we stayed in this 'ancient' house which has a lot of rooms, so our whole group occupied the entire house and we stayed in separate rooms. Cool right? ;D Ohhhh I miss Flatford. ):
So we went to London after that, I was quite excited though sad that we have to leave Flatford. ): Yeah we passed by the Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, then me and Carin were the most enthu people in the bus, we started taking pictures though we knew we would have a closer look of it the next day. Haha! Oooh, we watched this musical called Wicked! It was extremely cool and nice okay! First time watching a real musical! I was so awed by the singing, the dancing, the props, the setting, the background, the everything! Everything and everyone was just amazing. :D I was high-ing with Carin (again!) after the musical ended at 10 plus at night! HAHA!
The next few days in London was tiring. Yes, tiring! We conquered most of the places of interest in London by FOOT and by the TUBE! The tube is like our MRT here. Hah, it's quite the same as the MRTs in Singapore, only less crowded, somehow. Haha. But we got to see many places of interest which I have been dying to see since dunno how old. HAHA. Felt such a great sense of satisfaction after snapping countless shots of those places of interest, e.g. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Eye. :D :D
We went to many museums in London too, especially war museums. I love war museums! :D Haha. The Holocaust Exhibition was so depressing. You see how Hitler treated the Jews last time, gosh, it's 'appaling', as what Samyata said! Haha, people say you'll be traumatised after you come out of the exhibition. I got so scared before I went in, I thought it'd really be so scary, haha, but it's not that bad until you'll break out in tears non-stop, just feel very sad and angry for the 6 million Jews that Hitler killed. It's really very sad and pitiful. ):
Moving on to our short stay in Salisbury, we went to visit our twinning/sister school, St. Edmunds Girls' School. The girls there look super mature, but they're actually the same age as us. Haha, Hmm, what they study is rather similar to us, like we sat in for their Chemistry lesson for... 15 minutes? Haha! Yeah, and realised that they were learning the Atomic Structure and Mole Concept. Haha. But apparently their system is vey relaxed, unlike Singapore. There wasn't much inteaction between the girls there and us, until the next day when we had 2 hours to play games with them and stuff. Haha. Cool! :)
We went to visit the Stonehenge! :D Yay! Was so excited, then when I went there, it suddenly looked so miniature and small! Haha, that was my first impression. Surprisingly, the barricade wasn't that far away from the Stones. I thought they really barricade them until you can only see a little of it. Took lots and lots of jumpshots there. Hee. :)
Overall I think the trip was really great, fun and educational. I bet during lessons we would really understand what Mdm Faridah is saying. Haha! Really didn't regret going on this trip. :) No one would regret, actually. :) Aww, but now I miss everything there, Flatford, Willy Lott's House (our accommodation), Wicked, London. Sigh. Didn't want to come back to Singapore. Most of us didn't, cos it's like, back to reality (though it's the school hols). ): Haha, but Singapore's our home, right? :)
