Wow.

So many things are happening around the world.

Bangkok.

Mumbai.

US economy slowdown.

Where else next?

Hmm, shall be like a reporter and report about the current news in Mumbai! Haha.

Err... Actually, I don't quite know exactly what is happening there, but I know there're some riots and fightings.

Oh! Now I know. Haha. THERE ARE TERRORISTS ATTACKS IN MUMBAI! *gasp* Haha, not funny.

I'm bored! Hmm... I know it's the holidays and I should be having and all... But I'm just so bored at home (even though I have not finished the homework yet...)!

Speaking of homework, why does the school even give us homework over the holidays? What's a holiday with homework? zzz... =.= It seems like there's no meaning to it!

I'm still struggling with my Chinese newspaper review. Sigh. Hope my first attempt of the review is all right...

Shall I post some photos? Yeah, some random ones. :) Oh, I know! Photos of famous sites! :D

The ever-so-famous 'London Bridge'.

Here, the Eiffel Tower!

St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, Russia. I just like the exterior. :)

The Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Parthenon in Acropolis, Greece.

Finally, the Statue of Liberty.

I guess this will be it for now. I'll continue to post such pictures if I have the time. Hehe. xD

Yes, I changed my blogskin. Yesterday. In a rush. But never mind.

I can finally blog now that this computer is working. Haha.

This is officially my 100th post in this blog! :D

Anyway, Cedar Musical is nice. :) Sooo many Cedarians turned up, of course, and the seniors all wore very nice and formally. Haha. We (the audience) were very enthusiastic (i guess...) and I kinda expected what will happen. Not the show, I mean. The plot is very simple, about maids in Singapore being abused by their employers. As usual, there were many songs. Too many songs till I find a bit overly done... I know it's a musical, yes, but it's like, after 10 seconds since a song ended, another song comes up again. But the musical was nice in the whole.

Sam and Vince won TARA 3. Yes, it was very predictable. They shouldn't have advertised the camera commercial about them so early before the race ended! This gave viewers a clue that they might be the winners! But I think Sam and Vince deserved to win. (I'm trying not to give a report here...) This season, they did not have any task related to brain work. It was mostly physically-related. Which means there wasn't any Roadblock/task about the flags of the countries. But I like the task that they had to dig up the treasure box from the sand in Phuket, Thailand. That's quite creative. And they placed stacks of cash (should be US$100,000) in the treasure box for the winners to open! However, I'm sure that it's fake money. Haha. I'm sure looking forward to the next season next year! :D

Passed my piano exam with flying colours! xD Haha.

I think TARA 3 is getting more and exciting. No, it should be exciting by now, as the season finale is just this Thursday already! So fast! A.D. and Fuzzie went out. I knew that they would be booted out. They were so laid back and doesn't seem to be pushing themselves. But nvm, it's also a good thing that they got out, because it's so agonising to see them so relaxed and lagging behind!

Went for CIP last Friday at the opening of the new Yishun Public Library. It was very crowded, as usual, but the books there were mostly new and there was a wide variety of books. It occupied the whole level of the extension of Northpoint Shopping Centre. Just hanged around in the library and shelved books, especially the children's area! The books were quite messed up.

I think I'm gonna download some songs now. Gtg. :)

Everywhere I go, I see advertisements for Madagascar 2 Escape 2 Africa! Argh! I know it premieres tmr, but it's so irritating! The kids are all talking about it and singing that "I like to move it move it" song.

First, in the bus on the way to toa payoh, there were 2 kids behind the bus talking about the characters in the movie and singing aloud the song. (!!!)

Second, outside the MRT station, there was a big poster about the movie. =.=

Third, at one of the big shopping centres (I think it was Tangs Plaza), there was a big TV screen showing the movie trailer.

Fourth, the toys for the Happy Meal in McDonalds was also the characters from Madagascar 2!!!

I have had too much of Madagascar 2 today already. I think I should get a rest.

zzz...

I think I overborrowed books form the library already... xP Right now I'm jumping from series to series! Man, I hope I don't get confused by the different series.

TARA 3 is going to end soon! Just next week already! I seroiusly think that Sam and Vince won. Oh well, let's just see how the race goes. :)

GUIDES ANNUAL CAMP 2008 ROCKED!

I loved the Guides camp! It was sooo fun! But I feel very guilty that I didn't stay till the end and had to leave early... because I had piano exam! While everyone is envying me that I can go off early, I really wanted to stay till the end with everyone else! Unfortunately, circumstances do not allow...

--- Btw, I promised myself not to blog only when the rest of the Guides have come back, to be fair. :) ---

Anyway, the first night was fun. The morning and afternoon was very tiring and hottt! As in the weather. We were pitching our tent and making our gadgets (e.g. shoerack, baggage rack and clothesline) under the hot sun! I already got sunburnt before the first day ends! But it's okay, I don't mind getting tanner. :) Haha.

The night activity was cool! The Sec 3s tried to trick us that our handphones and wallets were lost! Hahaha! My first reaction was, "Oh. Are you sure you really lost it? I don't quite believe it..." Because they are Sec 3s, not some primary school students. And there are teachers around. Do you really think that our valuables will be lost? Haha, I know that anything might happen, but just saying my thoughts. :) Then after that, there was some moment of dead silence and everyone, including the Sec 3s, were looking very serious and solemn. They asked us whether we saw anyone suspicious in the campsite. Suddenly, one of the Sec 3s started smiling a bit and ahha! That's when I knew sthg was wrong... Haha. Guess what happened next. Another Sec 3 handed out a list of TYPED-OUT document of the possible suspects for the theft! Hahaha! Can you believe it? Then everybody started to laugh and their trick was exposed! :) But I have to say that the Sec 3s were successful in tricking most of us, since they acted quite real.

In the end, it was just some kinda of mystery game that we have to find out who the thief was. We just went station by station and complete the tasks.

Haha, our patrol got ready our bathing stuff when we had free time so when we were allowed to bathe, we immediately grabbed our plastic bags and rushed off to the showering cubicles! Hahaha, we were very kiasu. xD Wow, I felt so refreshed after the quick shower!

I slept quite well after that, (even though we only had about 5 hours of sleep), cos I was tired.

Rise and shine for a brand new day! Our patrol woke up at 5am! So early! We were only supposed to wake up at 6.30am! Hah, it's ok. I just woke up, warmed myself up and rolled up my sleeping bag.

I was so looking forward to this day! You know why? COS WE WERE GOING TO EAST COAST PARK TO CYCLE AND ROLLERBLADE!!! I love rollerblading!

--- I shall just skip to the part where we were at ECP. ---

I cycled first for about 1 and a half hours. Gee, that's long! I grew tired of the bicycle in about 45 minutes cos I didn't know where else to ride (even though ECP is very big). Plus, the bicycle is not nice to ride on. :( I accidentally adjusted the gears and didn't know how to change it back. =.= And from then on, it was even more difficult to ride! I just can't wait for my turn to switch to inline skating.

Inline skating was sooo fun! I loved it a lot! Most people didn't know how to skate so I helped them a bit. Then I just skated on my own around the area. You know what?

I GOT TO USE THE NICE, BLUE, K2 SKATES THAT I'D BEEN EYEING ON! I GOT TO USE IT!!!

Hah, ok, I know I sound very exagerrated, but I was really so excited! The rental skates were BRAND NEW! And I couldn't believe my luck you know. They used such a good pair of skates for RENTAL USE. Anyway, it was good also, in a way, that they used it for rental, if not I wouldn't have a chance to wear it! Haha. It was so smooooth and perfect and nice to wear and I liked it a lot. Haha.

The cycling and rollerblading at ECP was very refreshing and it was sthg new as we got to go out of the campsite and do sthg else. I enjoyed it thoroughly man! :DDD

After my dinner at Mcdonalds, we had this challenge of going around the park searching for things and doing it also. It was sort of like a Treasure Hunt in some ways. Here were some of the things that we had to find:

- Someone wearing braces
- Caterpillar
- A couple with the girl taller than the boy
- A person with matching top and bottom
- A bicycle shop owner's business card
- Twins
- An angmoh baby
- An Olympics 2008 logo
- An ex-Guide or Brownie

There are many more, and we also had to do things also. Btw, it can't be from a Cedar Guide unless specifically mentioned. Things we had to do:

- Find 2 strangers to do with one of us the Kallang Wave
- Get someone to recite the 7th Guide Law
- 3 of us to sing the World Song
- Ask a shop owner for his/her birthday, favourite food and fave colour

Wow, we were kinda stunned by some of them, but we had no choice and we had to do it within 45 minutes. It was dark and we couldn't really see as clearly as in the daytime.

We had to take photos or video tape down our actions as evidences. Somehow, my phone went berserk and there was no volume for the videos! I was so disappointed but luckily the seniors 'trusted us'. I accidentally deleted one of the photos and forgot to show them the business card! But it's okay.

After that, when they were going to board the bus back to Camp Christine, I met up with my parents and... yea, that's it. That's the end of my Guides Camp! THAT'S IT. It was only one night-two day. I really wished I could stay on especially for the campfire but I have to set my priorities right. I can't just let one whole year of hard work on the piano go down the drain. Anyway, I had a lot of fun in the 2 days and I sure look forward to the next camp next year! :D

I'm gonna reach my 100th post soon! :)

Friday's class outing was very funnn! :D We cycled and played frisbee, made our 1I turtle and had a picnic! :) Yea, everything went fine. It was very fun! :) I'm organising another outing so the 1I-ballers reading this, please check your email! :)

GIRL GUIDES ANNUAL CAMP! :D

I think I know who won TARA 3 already. It's so obvious! Haha. Really enjoyed watching both TAR and TARA. A.D. and Fuzzie are so funny man! Hahaha.
